Our first gig was dedicated to Rodgers and Hart so we came full circle 11 years on with this all Rodgers programme.   Several jazz musicians to thank and acknowledge for inspiring this programme:  bassist Christian McBride for 'I Have Dreamed';  Anita Wardell for her time-changing 'Surrey' and scat solo!;  the inimitable Oscar Peterson for 'Younger Than Springtime';  Erroll Garner for 'Where Or When' and 'The Lady Is A Tramp';  Jacqui Hicks for her latin-inspired 'Bewitched' and finally Shirley Horn for her fabulous chords and ultra-slow tempo on 'My Funny Valentine'.
I was determined to include Sixteen Going on Seventeen so came up with a 5/4 arrangement a la Take Five.
